Hello Chums,

Thank you to everyone who turned up for our anniversary bash with the Cornish theme, congrats to Rob Ashby on his winning pasty. A special thanks to Angie (Betty Stoggs) for entertainment assisted by Entertainment officer Kev. Love the Ogbourne ditty.

Well summer is almost over (did it start) so what fun have we in store for autumn?

Slate painting for juveniles has been postponed, watch this space.

Kevin’s very famous music quiz re appears on Friday 28th of August. I believe the winning team from last time will be missing key players, ah well!
A fee of £3.00 per person will go towards Wiltshire air ambulance charity.

Sunday 30th of August we will be hosting a lunchtime party, so the Inn is closed to “the general public”. We will open for drinks and food from 5.00, with music provided by Locarno beat.

Lauren and Jamie will be getting married on Tuesday 15th of September (Thomas Cook vouchers for wedding presents, apparently) so the Inn will be closed from Sunday 13th (sorry Doug) and will reopen on Thursday 17th of September.

Sizzling Sausage Sundays are now available on Sunday’s! We will be into our winter hours from 6th of September, and we will be closing at 4.00, just in time to watch the football.

We have called time on our Thursday curry evenings, from September we will have our main menu and specials available.

Rugby world cup starts on FRIDAY 18th September, England v Fiji at 8.00. and finishes on Sat. 31st of October.
We will be running a sweepstake, and our usual tries drop goals etc for the last 16.
I will be supporting Wales! The final is on 31st Oct at 4.00. Should we not have a home nation in the final,l we will be celebrating the Mexican Day of the Dead from 8.00 p.m.

The kitchen is having a refit on 1st and 2nd October, the bar will be open, but the rooms and kitchen will be closed.

Wiltshire Blues collective are due to play on Sunday 4th of October from 5i’ish to 8ish.

"Emma’s unofficial bank holiday” is located when the clocks go back Sat 24th October, to celebrate it Kevin will be running a Music quiz. If you want a note for Monday 26th to take your Ogbourne Bank holiday see Emma!

Running club on Sundays’ starts at 10.30, Will offers 2 routes, 5k or 10k your choice.

Christmas
We will be open on Christmas day for drinks and Christmas lunch (menu to be published later).
Xmas Party menu is attached, available for groups of 4 or more from December 11th.
