Wiltshire Turkey, with “pigs in blankets”, chestnut stuffing, bread & cranberry sauce and a thyme infused turkey jus

Whole lemon sole with Devon crab, clam & parsley butter on lightly-dressed watercress

Open lasagne with mushrooms, cranberries, olives and vine tomatoes.

Slow cooked marinated fillet of beef with a Madeira sauce

Starters or light bites

Stilton and Port pate £5.00

No meat involved in this vegetarian pate, served with onion chutney and toast.


Soup of the day £5.00


Whitebait  £5.50

A bucket of whitebait served with tartare sauce and bread and butter.


Sausage, black pudding & fried bread £5.00

Sliced old spot sausage mixed with red onion and mango chutney sandwiched between discs of black pudding and fried white bread. 


Prawn cocktail £6.00

We take king prawns, mix together with our own Marie rose sauce and served with brown bread and butter. 


Baked camembert £6.00

A full camembert oven heated, with garlic and rosemary, served with toast and apple slices 



Rump Steak, chips, peas and onion rings£14.00

A half-pound of pure well-hung rump eye steak. Please ask what cook you would like, but I would recommend medium rare! 

 add a peppercorn or Stilton sauce for £3.00


Sausage, spinach mash and gravy £10.50 

Two old spot sausages on top of our own spinach mash and caramelised onion gravy with a selection of vegetables on the side. 


Cod, chips and peas £11.00

A tasty piece of cod picked for its flavour, floured and then dipped in home-made beer batter or we can grill it with olive oil under the grill- served with chips and peas.


Chicken Balti £12.00

Our Balti is a medium curry served with rice and poppadum’s.


Double Burger, Chips & onion rings £11.00

A blend of beef, herbs and seasoned burgers served in a toasted brioche bun with cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato and red onion slices with fries and onion rings. Single at £9.00 



St. Georges chicken £13.75

A butterfly breast topped with camembert and cranberry sauce and flashed under grill.


Vegetable Risotto £12.00

 Courgette, spinach, onion, mushroom, carrot, mixed peppers and tomato with Arborio rice. Served with garlic bread and mini salad.


Cod in Parma £13.75 

Cod fillet wrapped in prosciutto, pan fried and topped with a parmesan and wine sauce.


Venison pie, mash and vegetables £13.50

Watermoor meats from Cirencester, our butcher, sources the venison from local Wiltshire shoots. We add vegetables, mushrooms and pancetta to create a comforting winter dish.


Penang curry (Vegan) and basmati rice £13.50

Cauliflower, green beans, mange tout & peppers in fragrant coconut sauce.



Service not included, except for parties of 6 or over, where a discretionary 10% charge will be added.
