November Newsletter

Thank you to everyone who helped support Chris and Pat Mason’s Coffee morning they raised an amazing £368.20

 Our RNLI Fish Lunch was a great success, we raised a fantastic £476.50 thank you to everyone who came.

Well Done to our 2 Pub Crib teams, with our A Team on top of the league and our B teams is top of the Beer League, hopefully  

The Clocks go back an hour on Sunday the 29th of October at 2am, it’s always nice to get that extra hour in bed. 

On Sunday the 29th of October, we will be hosting The Royal British Legion Quiz, we will be doing a Sausage and Mash lunch starting at 1:00 followed by the Quiz at 2:15 all for £10. If you don’t fancy the lunch then the quiz is just £3.00 per person. 22 places available for lunch so please book them fast.

On Saturday 4th of November, we will be Celebrating King Tutankhamun Day, fancy dress and games, come down and walk like an Egyptian. 

The Inn will be closed from Monday 13th of November re-opening on Tuesday the 21st of November. 

Mr Crozier is back with his weird and wonderful General knowledge quiz on Friday 24th of November (The day before his 71st birthday, I know he looks much older)

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on what the money that we have raised his year could be used for please put them forward to us.

N.b Change of plan, open for drinks on Christmas day 12-2.

Kevin Howard and Kathy will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and then completing the great south run all in a aid of the prospect hospice. There is a donation form on the bar if you would like to donate towards this great cause.

 

A note from Fred 

Thank you for everyone’s kind words, I have a PET Scan on the 6th November and will get the results on the 20th of November, hopefully this will come back clear and I will then go into remission.
