Rugby 6 nations has finished, Mr C has done the calculations for our competition, Welsh Steve won £13.00 for nearest number of tries (he has since donated back to charity), Drop goals went to Mr Crozier as did penalties, Kevin H got total points and shared sin bins with Chis Allen.
The draw for the Ramsbury vodka will be announced at the end of the General knowledge quiz, (£5.00 per person to play, with a free cheeseboard) that takes place on Good Friday.
Still time to buy raffle tickets for Meg’s homemade Easter egg at £2.50 each, winning ticket will be pulled out after the culinary challenge of Hot Cross buns which takes place at 4.00 on Easter Sunday. As it’s Easter we will be open ‘till 9.00 on Sunday night, no later.
Pat Mason won a golf prize to play at The Belfry, he kindly donated and we have secured £200.00 which is being put towards the radiotherapy unit at Great Western Hospital. One of our 2 charities this year, the other bring Fat boys charity, not people in the pub!?
Even though the Chancellor did not add duty to beer, the brewers increased their price in early March, we will put up our prices on Easter Monday for wine spirits and beer, soft drinks will stay the same.
First Monday of every month if you fancy a chin wag, change of scenery and a FREE cup of tea/coffee and cake come along 2-4 pm. We can pick up and drop home if you cannot get here. Please ring 01672 841445 if you would like to be picked up. It is a casual fun couple of hours to meet up with known faces and meet new ones.
Titanic tickets are going fast, 7 course supper and a chance to dress up in 20’s gear taking place on Friday 15th of April.
Crafty raft Race-Sunday 2nd May. Kevin and I surveyed the course on the canal from Kintbury to Newbury, we may have to adjust the making of the boat- watch this space?! A record of 4 punctures between us.
